"Californication" star David Duchovny has put his Malibu home on the market for a mere $12 million. He and wife Tea Leoni plan to move back East before their children return to school.
Seems their home, while not damaged in the recent fires, was in the evacuation zone.
Click here for more information on the listing. Their home, which sits on 5 1/2 acres, has two pools (one is a lap pool), five bedrooms, four baths, a gym and a guest house over a three-car garage.
Did I mention the ocean view? Kenny Chesney would be your neighbor. Oh, and there's also lots of smoke detectors.
Strangely, Duchovney would seem to have every reason in the world to keep an LA base. He's appearing at the launch of the "Californication: Season One" DVD release party at a private home Monday night. His role as Hank Moody earned him a Golden Globe award and Season Two promises to be just as provocative as the first.
He has an untitled TV project, written by Matt Dearborn, currently in production and the sequel, "The X-Files: I Want to Believe," is due out in the US on July 25.
Better keep a pied-a-terre in the hills, David. Or better yet, the flats, where the annual fires, mudslides and alien spaceship landings are rare. Or so they say.
